2005 FORD GT

The Ford GT is a modern-day tribute to its legendary multiple Le-Mans winning GT40, built to rival the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT and Mercedes-Benz SLR. With its stunning body, nostalgic interior styling including ventilated leather seats the GT is powered by a 5.4 litre supercharged V8 bosting 557bhp propelling the car from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and onto a top speed of 205 mph.

Towards the end of the GT’s production cycle in November 2005, Ford introduced the GTX1 open top version in homage of the Bruce McClaren prototype GT40 X1. These cars were offered to North American Ford customers at a $38,000 premium. Only 40 customers were lucky enough to take delivery of one of these cherished supercars.

The Ford GT X1 by Bell chassis number 401202, offered here at Autostorico is finished Mark IV Red and Ebony leather interior trim. Supplied new in October2005 to its first owner Michael Prichinello of New York with the following factory options; AM/FM Radio with single CD and Red painted brake calipers.

Remaining in his ownership until 2007 when it was regularly maintained by Manhatton Ford.

Two thousand and seven saw the Ford GT acquired by a London based collector who imported, and road registered for UK use. He had missed out on the original allocation of GTX1 and commissioned Bell Sport and Classic to convert the car to GTX1 specification. Having covered just 28,517 miles this stunning example has just returned from being serviced in June 2025.
