Mercedes Benz E36 AMG

On offer here is a very rare car, my 1995 Mercedes E36 AMG Coupe. One of only 24 RHD E36 AMG Coupes ever made. And when I looked on the DVLA website only 1 appears to be on the road in the UK

When I bought this car in 2008 it only had two previous owners and covered just 55,000 miles, since then I’ve added another 67,362 faultless miles, bringing it up to the current 122,362 miles.

Since I’ve owned the car it has been meticulously serviced by three Mercedes specialists, Mercare in Plymouth, Coverdale in Newton Abbot and MBS in Exeter.

As you can see in the photos which all show the actual car on offer and form part of the description it is in excellent condition inside and out.

It has all the usual features of an AMG Mercedes so if you want a very elegant classic car made by Mercedes when the company was run by engineers and not by cost cutting accountants look no further.

In addition to normal servicing as the car is nearly 30 years old it has undergone some restoration work including:

Both front wings were replaced in 2014 and any bodywork blemishes attended to at a total cost of £2,906.06

Engine wiring harness replaced 12/01/2015 at a cost of £1,184.40

New throttle body and ignition fitted 12/02/2016 at a cost of £1,668.12

New Air conditioning condenser fitted 13/06/2016 at a cost of £388.40

New headlight fixings, Cylinder head gasket, Timing case seal, engine overhaul, Lower wishbone, Rear subframe, ECU refurb, full service on 10/06/2024 at a cost of £11,984.16

Renewed differential mounts and n/s/r and o/s/r shock absorbers on 07/12/2022 at a cost of £643.20

Bodywork touch ups and full alloy refurb including acid dipped and powder coated wheels on 02/12/2021 at a cost of £2,631.30

Have receipts and a folder full of history dating back to 2008, unfortunately no previous history apart from the maintenance booklet showing Pre delivery inspection from March 1995 as the previous owner failed to forward me the additional paperwork.

It is a 30 year old car that has been a daily driver for many years, there are some small patches of rust on the boot run off (shown) and some small blisters on the wheel arches.

Everything works as it should

Some minor blemishes on the leather interior and the wood has unfortunately cracked near the gearshift, pretty sure an easy fix.

The car is completely standard apart from the wheel centre caps.

Inspection and test drives are welcome with proof of full valid insurance any day, at any reasonable time by arrangement and only when the full purchase price is paid in either cash or BACS will the car be released.
