EXTERIOR

Having driven only 57k miles in the hands of 4 owners, this 2005 M3 cabrio presents in great original condition. The car has just been detailed and the paintwork has a deep shine throughout. The dark blue soft top is excellent and operates perfectly at the touch of a button, either from within the cabin or remotely using the key. All the trims, badges, and lights are first-rate, and at the front end of the car there are remarkably few stone chips to be found. Having previously been refurbished to a high standard by Lepsons the original 19-inch forged wheels are in great shape although the nearside rear alloy is now slightly kerbed. A few small marks on the rear bumper further evidence the car’s honesty but otherwise it’s a fantastic example that also comes with a matching hardtop in equally fine order.

INTERIOR

The grey Nappa leather has worn well over the years with a nice matte sheen and relatively few signs of wear; having never been allowed to dry out in the sun, the upholstery is still notably supple. Glancing across the dash there are no marks to any of the switchgear or satnav screen but we have noted some dead pixels when the monitor is switched on. The steering wheel and gear knob are also excellent and original, the air conditioning is ice-cold, and in the footwells the carpets are well protected by a full set of tailored overmats. At the rear of the car the seats are very clean, and in the boot area you’ll find a complete tool kit and wind deflector ready for use.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The S54 is an iconic six-cylinder powerplant revving to 8,000rpm with an intoxicating rasp at higher revs, and in this M3 it’s paired with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. In line with the low mileage the engine bay is clean and tidy with no signs of accident damage or previous poor repair. We have just had the car fully inspected including the underside and the workshop were pleased to report no cracking issues to the boot floor/subframe area. The last service was a major Inspection II carried out at BMW in May 2025 less than 40 miles ago.

HISTORY FILE

First registered in November 2005 this lovely facelift M3 has driven just 57,279 miles in the hands of only 4 registered keepers. Reading through the paperwork the car has always been serviced in the correct order and, other than one M specialist service completed in 2017, all the stamps in the book are from BMW main dealers (entries below). The accompanying History File comprises the M3 leather document wallet with all owners manuals, maintenance invoices, MOT certificates, a clear HPI report, and a spare remote key.
