Exceptional 1998 Jaguar XJ Sport 3.2 V8 (240 BHP) finished in champagne silver metallic coachwork with full black leather upholstery. If you are looking for an XJ8 from this era, then this car must be seriously considered. In our opinion, you would certainly struggle to find a better cosmetically & mechanically prepared example and with just 45,000 genuine miles from new with supporting service & maintenance invoices, the car drives just as well as it looks. Supplied in August 1998 by Lancaster Jaguar Daimler of Sidcup, Kent and owned privately by Mr & Mrs Jenkins for nearly 5 years. The second owner remained the cars custodian for a further 10.5 years. The car has then had a few owners in the same family since 2024 and is now offered to the market for sale. The supplying Lancaster Jaguar Dealership serviced the vehicle 10K, 19.6K and 24.1K. Guy Salmon Jaguar of Surrey serviced the vehicle at 27.9K. Deutsche Marques Jaguar of Kensington London carried out services at 33.6K, 35.3K, 37.3K, and 39.8K.Independent services carried out at institute of motor industry accredited service centres at 41.6K and 44.3K. We have supporting service invoices for all of the Jaguar Main Dealer Services and a handful of the subsequent services. We also have a collection of MOT certificates and parts & maintenance invoices, along with the original Jaguar dealer book packs with operating manuals, previous TAX discs and supplying sales manager business cards. 2 keys (black & green) with fob still present and fully working. The car benefits from a very recent, expensive and professional roof lining replacement, under body clean & protection applied, new auxiliary belt and alternator. The car shows no signs of rust to the usual areas, please see pictures of sills and wings, it really is in outstanding order. The paintwork is beautifully smooth, shiny and scratch free. Just a couple of very small parking dinks if your being super critical with a magnifying glass, it really is that good! The interior is also in outstanding order with no rips, holes or wear to the leather or carpets. The carpets have been protected with the original tailored Jaguar over mats from new, and as such the floor carpet is not discoloured or worn in any way. The black ash wooden fascia in the door cards have a few hairline splits in the lacquer, but very original and in keeping with its fantastic pedigree. The engine is powerful, quiet and smoke free. The automatic gearbox is silky smooth up and down the gears, and in reverse. The steering, suspension, brakes, and drive train are positive & responsive with no unwanted knocks or noises. Everything works just as it should in the cabin, with partially electric drivers seat, climate control, all round electric windows & mirrors, remote central locking, radio & cassette player, boot mounted cd autochanger, front foglights, steering wheel mounted audio controls, illuminate vanity mirrors and more.
