1972 Ferrari

A very nice right hand drive UK delivered Dino which retains its matching numbers and remains faithful to its original specification, finished in Rosso Corsa 20-R -190 with Nero 161 vinyl interior. As detailed in an email on file from Ferrari historian Marcel Massini the car was completed at Maranello on the 6th September 1972 then sold via UK Ferrari dealer Hares in October of that year. The Dino has covered only 32,000 miles in the hands of 6 owners from new and it is in excellent order in all respects having been used sparingly and maintained by Ferrari specialists following a full restoration completed by the renowned Dino expert Nick Cartwright and Moto Technique in 1995.

The Dino register confirms that well-known Dino collector Wolf F Zeuner of Yarkhill, Hereford owned the car from 1980 to 1984 before selling to Mr N A Bevan of Kidderminster at 25,000 miles as confirmed in a letter on file from Mr Bevan. Also confirmed is several years of activity in storage followed his purchase before he commissioned Ferrari specialists Moto Technique to carry out a full restoration. Before this work was completed Bevan sold the car to Nick Cartwright at which point he undertook the mechanical rebuild and completion of the work to his usual high standards. This work is fully detailed in extensive invoicing and correspondence on file.

Nick had bought the car on behalf of a fastidious British collector who took delivery of the Dino in 1995 as confirmed in the purchase invoice on file which further confirms the recorded mileage at 25,711 miles. During this ownership the car was used sparingly but maintained perfectly as detailed in many invoices on file with Nick Cartwright and his local specialist Bob Houghton.

In 2006 the Dino was offered for sale once again by Nick Cartwright on behalf of this collector and it was bought in May of that year by the last owner, a similarly fastidious enthusiast with an immaculate private collection. This transaction is again recorded in invoicing on file which confirms the mileage at 30,512 miles.

This last owner has continued to keep the Dino in the manner to which it has become accustomed with an extensive maintenance record as detailed on file with many thousands spent including a full engine rebuild. This work has been completed by Nick Cartwright again and the highly respected R & D Automotive in Manchester, indeed the car has come to us fresh from a service by the latter. The Dino has been sparingly used again rising by just 1,500 miles to 32,000 miles in the last 19 years.

Today the Dino remains superb in all respects and drives as only a well sorted example can. It is correct in all respects and wants for nothing, ready to be enjoyed by a new enthusiastic owner. It comes with the above-mentioned extensive history files, correct tool kit, handbooks and all keys.
