Description
This 1985 930-model Porsche 911 Turbo is a very special car, indeed, as its engine has been modified to produce arund 375bhp. In this relatively lightweight car, that equates to a huge amount of fun!
The original engine was rebuilt around 2010 and carefully upgraded. It was fitted with Powerhause heads with extra sealing rings and 36mm injector blocks, Wevo semi-solid engine and gearbox mounts, a K27HFS turbocharger, a Forge blow-off valve, a Tial wastegate with one-bar spring, a Blown six full-width intercooler, Patrick Motorsport lightweight flywheel and clutch, Fabspeed exhaust system and a new air filter set-up.
At the same time, the suspension was updated with an Elephant Racing road/track set up boasting quick-change torsion bars, adjustable spring plates and a front strut brace. There’s also a Wevo gear-shifter.
The car has since been well-maintained. In 2021, the engine and gearbox were removed to fit new camshafts (the original build had 964 cams), replace the oil feed tubes, set the tappets, and paint and refit the cam covers with new gaskets. We shall service the car before sale, ready for the lucky new customer to enjoy.
The Porsche looks fantastic, finished in rare Prussian Blue Metallic (which has a hint of purple) with Fuchs alloy wheels, later-style Cup teardrop door mirrors and, of course, the classic Turbo whaletail spoiler.
The interior is finished in Metropole Blue, and the leather seats have recently been refurbished. A boost gauge takes pride of place on the right side of the dash, where you’d normally find the clock. The clock has been repositioned into a smart, custom-built centre console. There’s a gorgeous ClubSport steering wheel, retro-look Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 head unit with DAB and Bluetooth, a modern remote locking and immobiliser system, plus a sunroof. Finally, a wooden Carrera GT style gear knob is a neat touch.
The 911 Turbo comes with a large history folder, which includes MoT certificates dating back to 1991.
