TVR CHIMAERA 4.8 V8 1996 *Light Recommissioning Project*

TVR Chimera 4.0 V8 HC... first registered on the 1st August 1997 and supplied new in the UK by Team Central TVR, Birmingham. This vehicle has been dry stored for the last 5/6 years and is being sold as a project, needing light recommissioning, so would suit the enthusiast or home mechanic.... Odometer shows 88,000 odd miles which is believed genuine and is supported by an extensive maintenance record inc invoices along with previous MOT test certificates.

The first question many will as is, how are the out-riggers?? Well to answer that, they're solid albeit ever so slightly crusty, we have had the car on the ramp and have taken a number of images, so are happy to share these shots via WhatsApp. Due to the car being stored, it has not been MOT'd since 2020 although it does run and drive extremely well, but would obviously benefit from a refresh and being set up properly......

As mentioned, the car is being sold as a project for recommissioning, viewing is encouraged and if any interested parties would like additional images of any specific areas, please just ask...

Original paintwork is Rosso pearl complimented by biscuit and magnolia leather, with burgundy Wilton carpets bound in magnolia leather.... In addition, an aluminium dash panel, 3 spoke Personal steering wheel and original cream faced analogue gauges finish the interior perfectly....

Currently, the car wears a TVR cherished number plate to replace its age related 'P' prefix and this is included in the sale.

Usual specification includes electrically operated windows and mirrors (although the original mirrors have been replaced with these hideous items you see pictured!!) removable roof panel and folding rear window which incidentally is in superb condition, along with the black mohair roof/hood. The car has a period correct Kenwood CD player and it's original TVR security system that works as intended, incorporating the central locking system along with a Thatcham approved immobiliser....
