Probably the best concours F40 in existence - extensive successful Concours participation

We know this car rather well in that we found it for it's second and current owner. The owner wanted to buy the very best F40 available with concours participation in mind and spent 3 years travelling around Europe and inspecting 20 cars untill we introduced him to #90353 which met his exacting standards.

The car was delivered new to it's first custodian via Maranello UK. This made the car 1 of 78 UK delivered F40s and therefore unusually originally supplied with an MPH speedometer. The first owner was Manfred Speiss who owned the car from 1991 when it was new until late 2018. During his tenure the car covered a mere 2651 miles in his 27 year ownership, but the extensive billing documentation on file with Ferrari Classiche dealer Eberlein, suggests maintenance was carried out regardless of cost.

When the 2nd owner acquired the car it had an inspection and subequent maintenance by DK Engineering. The car has earned huge plaudits on the Concours field and DK have maintained the car throughout to perfect driving condition. This car is not be confused with a low mileage car which has not had regular fastidious maintenance.

Finding a low mileage standard car is one thing, but to find a low mileage as it left the factory in Concours condition is another thing all together! In fact it would be unrealistic to assume that you could reproduce an F40 to this as-it-left-the-factory standard today simply because some of the OEM parts are NLA, and the keenest judges may well be able to tell the difference over seemingly authentic repro components.
