The Outlaw look eliminates front and rear bumpers as well as the chrome side body trim, but retains the vented Engine cover, and it has Black wing mounted racing mirrors, Yellow headlamps with chrome protectors, front fog lights, Leather Bonnet straps, and many racing badges and decals help finish this stunning look. The Speedster comes with a full Black mohair soft top and matching Drop-in-side windows for when the roof is down, a black mohair tonneau cover, Porsche chrome hub-caps, white-wall tyres and an original 1960’s Lietz rear chrome Luggage Rack with Leather retaining straps for a suitcase. This car was imported to the UK from California in 2015 and the mileage when it arrived in the UK was only just over 3,000 miles since it was built. The current owner purchased the car in July 2017 with 4,800 miles showing on the speedo, but unfortunately the engine had developed a problem, so a new 1776cc engine was fitted in 2018. Since then, the car has covered a further 6,000 miles and 13,600 in total since it was built by Vintage Speedsters. It has also had a CSP EVO complete stainless steel exhaust system fitted and was last serviced by Beetlelink in Farnham in October 2024. While the original 356 Speedsters are very rare to find and VERY expensive, these Vintage Speedsters are also rare and even avid Porsche enthusiasts have a difficult time telling these apart from the real ones. Making this one even more unique is that it was built with the Outlaw Styling which was a race influenced look. Body and paint are truly near flawless and the Khaki Olive paint suits the car perfectly and you will be very impressed with the build quality of these cars including the fit of the doors, bonnet and engine lid as they all open and shut with a solid feel and the panel gaps are excellent. These have a very different feel from a Chesil, and of course they are all LHD as well, but they really are superb cars! Further details and photographs to follow.
