We are proud to offer this outstanding example of the increasingly rare MGA Mk2 Roadster—an original UK-supplied, right-hand drive car, first registered in 1962 and still retaining its original registration number. Presented in its factory-correct Old English White with a beautifully contrasting deep red interior, this car epitomises the understated charm and spirited character of British open-top motoring in the early 1960s.

Subject to a comprehensive restoration in the early 2000s, carried out by marque specialists and supported by a detailed history file, the car has covered just 5,000 miles since the completion of the work. The quality of the restoration remains evident throughout, with superb attention to detail in both its mechanical and cosmetic presentation. It has been carefully stored and well maintained, with only occasional use in fine weather.

Alongside the faithful restoration, several thoughtful upgrades were incorporated to improve the driving experience and reliability. These include the installation of a Ford Type 9 five-speed gearbox, allowing for more relaxed and efficient cruising, as well as a conversion to front disc brakes for improved stopping power. A thermostatically-controlled Kenlowe electric cooling fan was added to enhance engine cooling in modern traffic conditions, and an electric battery cut-off switch offers additional safety and security when parked.

Mechanically, the car performs exactly as it should, with excellent oil pressure, responsive handling, and the lively 1622cc B-series engine—the most powerful engine to feature in the MGA range—delivering smooth, enthusiastic performance. Gear changes are crisp, and the overall driving feel is tight and confidence-inspiring.

Cosmetically, the Old English White bodywork presents in excellent condition, with a consistent, glossy finish and excellent panel fit throughout. The brightwork is similarly well-preserved, and the red interior has been fully re-trimmed to a high standard, including matching carpets and door panels. The car also comes with its complete set of weather gear—soft top, tonneau cover, and side screens—all of which are in superb condition and fit properly.

This Mk2 Roadster represents a rare opportunity to own one of the finest examples of its kind—beautifully restored, upgraded for real-world usability, and supported by its original UK provenance.
