Austin-Healey 100 6 BN4
Well, cars just don't get much better do they? The beautiful shape of the BN1, but tweaked slightly to give it mildly more muscular lines and the wheelbase lengthened slightly to streamline the body of the BN4, a lower and wider front grille, a bonnet scoop and a few other minor changes are all that's evident from the outside of the car. Inside you have the 4 speed H pattern that we all know and love, no more backwards 3 speed manual, so a car that is easier to drive and more familiar to most and more like a modern classic. Still, the same comfortable driving position, way ahead of its time for the 50's - fitting big humans in with space to spare unlike most! It is also in what has to be the most iconic of shades for a big Healey! Turn the key and push the starter button and the crisp and freshly rebuilt inline 6 sparks into life, with a sound as smooth as silk and a little bark around 2,000RPM, this car sounds like the pit straight at any classic 50's race and it only gets better the more you drive / look at the car. Presenting incredibly well after a full body off restoration, where nothing was left untouched, it drives as well, if not better than it looks. So exquisite is the drive, that I think you'd find it difficult to fault in any way. The car has had everything refreshed, every panel, bolt, washer, nut, bushing you name it. The engine has been fully, along with the gearbox, diff and everything in-between. Add to that fresh paint, chrome work and a new interior it really is the full package. It drives so smoothly, pulls very well and sounds incredible. Even if you just opened the garage to look at it on a rainy day, you won't be disappointed. Or if it takes your fancy, the hood and tonneau are both included and will look after you in the wet too if the mood takes you! TECHNICAL INFORMATION: This car was originally sent to Dusseldorf as an LHD Export spec according to the heritage certificate. It is in its original colour combo, with no changes having been made during its restoration, which is refreshing. Still being an LHD car, it is totally original and perfect set for some nice European tours. The car has a great history file, with a handful of Healey specific books, along with a leather-bound photographic folder of the restoration. With no stone left unturned it truly is a turn key car for the next owner to just hop in and enjoy. If you're looking for a ''Big Healey'' of any description, this has to be worth a look. With very tidy panel gaps, It presents fantastic value for money in the current market. I don't foresee a car this good sitting around long, so if you're interested, don't wait now that spring has sprung to pick up the phone TOTAL NUMBER OF PREVIOUS OWNERS: 1 TRANSMISSION: 4 speed manual ENGINE: 2,660cc inline six ENGINE SPECIFICATION: Power 117bhp Torque 148 lb ft 0 - 60 11.2 Seconds Max speed 111 mph PRICE: £54,995.00 - ONO.
