⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY
The 930 is a true icon - wide-bodied, rear-engined, and turbocharged; it's a car that earned its reputation as the '80s supercar slayer.
The 911 Turbo (930) is a defining chapter in Porsche's prestigious history - a bold, turbocharged expression of performance and style. First introduced in the mid-1970s, the 930 took the world by storm with its aggressive flared wheel arches, deep front air dam, and unmistakable "whale tail" rear spoiler. By 1983, the model had been refined into a high-performance machine, powered by a 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six engine that delivered thrilling acceleration and a distinctive exhaust note.
The 930 offered serious performance for its time, with explosive power delivery that earned it a reputation for being both exhilarating and demanding to drive, delivering a raw, engaging experience which still remains an exciting drive today. The 911 Turbo remains one of the most iconic and collectible models ever to wear the Porsche badge.
This example comes to market with from 32 years ownership, having been imported in to the UK in 1987, the car originally having been delivered to Monaco. This car could be considered a recommission or rolling restoration project - it has benefitted from some light recommission work already over the past year, after having been sat unused for over 10 years prior.
The car looks solid within its core structure, e.g. sills, floors, kidney bowles etc - the main areas of rust are on the wings in the usual areas, and corrosion on the bumpers. The interior shows well for the most part, but would be improved with the continuation of the restoration project. The engine looks like it's been untouched for a long time and would benefit from a refresh / rebuild, however, it is a running example, with the engine starting first time even after its time off the road.
With some work still to do, the 911 will always be a highly sought-after classic no matter the age or the mileage, well worth a detailed look for someone with a little time for a new project.
