1984 Lotus Excel

1984 Lotus Excel rare early “narrow body” for sale in amazing condition. Excellent silver paintwork with red leather/ velour interior. Extensive amount of history and receipts show that this car has been well cared for, and wears its mileage extremely well.

I purchased the car in 2021 and spent time getting the car mechanically sound, which included fitting a new windscreen. I noted from the paperwork that the engine had been rebuilt at the Lotus factory workshop in 1990, and also worked on by Fibreglass services for most of its time with previous owners, who maintained fastidious paperwork records. The narrow body Excel is particularly rare. It was produced for a short period of time in 1983/ 84 as the previous model Eclat transitioned into the later wide arch version of the Excel.

The paintwork of the car is particularly good, with recently refurbished wheels with new tyres, and the red interior is original and in excellent condition considering the car is now over 40 years old. This means it is now road tax exempt, and also MOT exempt. I did have the car MOT’d last year as usual with no advisories found.

The car is complete with 2 sets of keys, service book/ handbook, original Lotus factory service notes, extensive receipts and is ready to use and enjoy as I have.
