PORSCHE 964.Carrera 2 Coupe Manual

I bought this car nearly 10 years ago now, when I bought the car the o/ s wheel arch was dented in, another car had span out of control and hit the os rear wheel arch and thus the insurance company made it a cat d and paid the previous owner out. This didn't bother me as I intended to go through the car in every way. Due to the fact of the metal being unlike modern 911's the body shop were able to panel beat out the slight dent to the rear quarter, this was carried out at the same time the car was stripped and repainted.

The car had all the glass removed, front wings removed, doors removed, sunroof removed, any corrosion that was found was cut out and lead loaded. With it being a LHD from Germany the body work and sills etc were very good anyway and didn't need any repair work. I was told by Jonny Holland at Unit 11 that it is very good body wise compared to what a UK car of this age would be like. Eg Very rusty.

I have just had the engine removed at Unit 11 so that it could be refreshed and checked, the heads were removed and valve clearances checked and we're found to be very good, thus Jonny confirmed that a rebuild was not required and indeed its already had a rebuild earlier in its life, I had a full service carried out, I also wanted to solve some oil leak issues which 964's are renound for Jonny did this, he also replaced some tinware for me and the acoustic panel fitted above the engine.

I have just replaced the two front shock absorbers with Bilstein B6 items from Design 911, the front coil springs and have been shot blasted and re powered coated.

The wheels have all just been refurbished so are like new for the next owner.

The car has Bridgestone Potenza tyres which all have approx 6mm of tread and will be putting a fresh 12 Month MOT on the car for its new owner.

I have been in no rush to do this car as obviously as the prices have slowly been increasing over the years (probably the Singer effect.)

This car has a massive history file in an A4 binder along with the original service book, manual and 2 keys

It has a 964 RS lightened flywheel and no cats so it sounds amazing !

Its had 964 Turbo full leather partial electric front seats fitted at some point in its life.

I consider this car a good usable classic for someone. Maybe it will even end up going back to Germany or the USA perhaps.
