Description
This car was built at the new Bowling Green plant whilst the majority of 1981 C3's were made in the old St Louis site. Owing to new strict emission regs the 1981 corvettes all had the L81 engine which only put out 190HP. I think it is one of the best looking C3's but lacked the power to match. So, most owners upgraded them. This example is testament to the previous owners skill and research in building a reliable and well engineered car that does what you expect it to do! For example; CompuCam performance camshaft, roller rockers, SS headers and exhaust (loud), 4 speed Bowtie auto box (level2 200-4R), Davis Unified distributor + stage 2 chip - the list goes on and on. I can provide a more extensive list for anyone who shows serious interest. I have owned this car for 9 years and have spent less than £200 on parts (steering hoses and a new battery). It starts first time, has been very reliable and will reach the the top speed shown on the speedometer! All OE parts + many spares are available. Why sell? I also own a C5 convertible and plan to upgrade.
