On import the Healey was treated to an extensive restoration undertaken by specialists Adams Automotive Engineering in Norfolk. The work included a comprehensive respray taking the car back to bare metal, a conversion to right hand drive, and a comprehensive engine rebuild. Painted in its original colour combination of Healey blue with a blue convertible hood and blue interior the Healey was delivered to Dan Asher in Aberdeen, Scotland. In 2006 it was sold to Mr. K. Lipton in Newark, Nottinghamshire during which time it was maintained by Sherwood Restorations and in 2008 it was acquired by a Mr. R Sanderson in Kent. The current vendor acquired the 'BVG 84E' in 2013 and has maintained and improved the vehicle to a very high standard during his tenure making further significant improvements (listed below). The history file that accompanies the car includes invoices and photographic records to show the extensive restoration, invoices and photos for work carried out by Adams Automotive Engineering in Norfolk when the car returned to the UK. Invoices relating to the extensive upgrades by Austin Healey specialists, RAWLES Motor Sport, Bill Rawles Classic Cars, Cape International and JME Healey. In between the major work it has always been serviced and Mot'd annually by a local garage which is also documented in the file. Offered to the market in very good condition this Healey is a matching numbers example with various desirable upgrades. The paintwork is excellent with few blemishes to note and the interior, hood and engine bay are all in very presentable order. The Healey runs and drives very well indeed and is maintained and serviced and Mot'd regularly. Dry stored throughout the current vendors ownership the Healey comes complete with a Heritage certificate confirming its original specification and the current UK registration document. This lovely example has had just four previous keepers from new and having been restored to such a high level the Healey has even previously won an award in 2022 for a top 10 show car at the ''Classic's at the Villa'' where 350 cars were displayed!
