At Stable Vehicle Storage, we are delighted to offer this exceptionally rare and meticulously maintained 1981 Porsche Carrera GT, presented in its original and iconic Guards Red with a contrasting black pinstripe interior.

First registered in March 1981 on an “X” registration, this remarkable example has covered just 76,800 miles from new, and is accompanied by an exemplary, comprehensive and complete history file. The documentation includes the original bill of sale, every receipt from new, 27 historic MOT certificates, and the original service book containing 31 stamped entries — a clear demonstration of this car’s cherished status over four decades.

Of the 400 Carrera GTs produced, just 75 were right-hand drive, making this an exceptionally rare and desirable example for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

In 2016, the car underwent a full, professional respray carried out by Porsche Centre Reading — the official Porsche GB headquarters. Notably, Porsche Reading is renowned for its meticulous standards and is the trusted destination for some of the country’s most significant collector-grade cars, including the 918 Spyder and the modern Carrera GT. Their involvement further underscores the car’s premium status and the care it has received.
