PORSCHE BOXSTER (987 GEN II) 24V S PDK 2010
I’ll start with the negative’s first to save you reading any further if they are a deal breaker!
This car appears on Hpi as a Category N, which is Repairable, non structural damage. Although I didn’t buy it from the owner at the time I have spoken to his son in law who informed me that it was hit by a van when parked and sustained damage to the offside rear wing and a bent control arm (I have pictures of the damage). Obviously this has been repaired and the car has been MOT’d twice since and also had full geometry set up in my ownership.
The car has covered just over 122,000 miles, this will rise as it’s my daily driver, this may put you off if looking for a garage queen.
Both of these items have been taken into account with the asking price in my opinion and this is a chance to acquire a 3.4 S model .2 for the price of a .1 987. If you have done your research you will see that the 3.4 DFI engine is superior to the M97 engine.
Moving on to the car itself.
The car is Meteor Gray metallic and presents well for it’s age and mileage, the interior is black, with heated seats which are also in good condition. The centre console looks to have been upgraded to leather which is useful as the soft touch paint on the standard item often suffers from unsightly scratching.
The car has park distance control, air conditioning and an upgraded Pioneer DAB touchscreen infotainment system which allows wireless Apple CarPlay.
The car is fitted with the excellent 3.4 DFI engine mated to the 7 speed PDK automatic gearbox. Additionally this car has the Sport Chrono option, which isn’t just the rather useless little chronograph on the dash it also gives you Sport and Sport Plus option buttons which change the way the auto box responds and alters the throttle response (this is an essential option on a PDK in my opinion) I think there is also a launch control function also but I have never bothered to investigate further.
Service history wise the car has a stamped service book as looks to have been serviced to schedule. A mixture of OPC and Specialist as you would expect.
Last service was on 04/09/2024 at 118403 miles by my local Specialist.
There are reciepts going back to 2019 detailing things like drop link replacement, control arms, front and rear lower wishbones, PDK gearbox service, front and rear brake pads, front and rear shocks and springs, front crossover pipes, window regulator etc. So the car has been well looked after.
If there are any other things you need to know but happy to show the car to prospective purchasers. Professional inspection welcome and encouraged. Test drives only on proof of fully comprehensive insurance
