For Sale: Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V12 Manual – A True Modern Classic
After eight years of cherished ownership, it's time to say goodbye to my beloved Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V12. This is not a decision taken lightly—I've loved every mile behind the wheel, every glance back after parking it, and every spirited drive with that glorious V12 soundtrack. The only reason for sale is practicality—my kids have simply outgrown the rear seats, and family needs must now take priority.
This particular DB7 Vantage is a rare and sought-after example, equipped with the manual gearbox, making it a true driver’s car and a future classic. With its hand-built 5.9-litre V12 engine paired to the six-speed manual transmission, this is a grand tourer that offers both elegance and serious performance. It delivers a raw, mechanical connection that’s increasingly rare in today’s market.
Key Details:
- 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V12
- 6-speed manual transmission
- 5.9L V12engine
- 55k miles
- Black paintwork with black leather
- MoT expires March 2026
As well as as having a full service history, I've looked after the car fastidiously during my ownership, with no expense spared. It has always been kept garaged, regularly serviced, and treated with the respect a car of this calibre deserves. Mechanically, it's spot on—pulls hard, shifts smoothly, and sounds intoxicating when opened up. Cosmetically, it's in beautiful condition, with only minor age-related marks in keeping with its age, but still turns heads and garners compliments wherever it goes.
The car did have an accident in 2006, which involved a new/repaired bonnet, and as such it is classified as a Cat D: I looked into this when I bought the car 8 years ago, and couldn't identify any issues, and nothing has materialised in my ownership. I have priced the car accordingly to reflect this minor issue.
The DB7 Vantage offers a unique blend of timeless Ian Callum styling, muscular V12 performance, and classic Aston Martin refinement. The long bonnet, sweeping lines, and subtle aggression give it real presence—this is a car that looks just as good cruising through the countryside as it does parked outside a country pub or a black-tie event.
Interior-wise, you’ll find the usual Aston Martin luxuries—leather everywhere, carbon fibre trim, and a cosseting driving position. The seats are supportive yet comfortable for long journeys, and while the rear seats are best suited for small passengers or extra luggage, they’ve served my family well until recently.
If you’re looking for a well-loved, well-maintained, and properly rare British GT with a soul, this DB7 deserves a look. The manual gearbox variants are becoming increasingly collectible, and values are slowly creeping up as enthusiasts realise just how special these cars are.
I’m happy to answer any questions and welcome serious enquiries. This is a reluctant sale, and I’m looking for a buyer who will appreciate and enjoy the car as much as I have over the past eight years.
