Fiat 130 3.2 2-Door
Launched in 1969 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Fiat 130 was the new flagship of the prestigious Fiat brand. The coupe was released in 1971, boasting design by Paolo Martin of the famous coachbuilder Pininfarina (Who also manufactured the car). Overall, 4,294 coupes were ever manufactured by Pininfarina, and it remains a rare and sought after model today (Only 10 estimated vehicles remain on UK roads).
Using the later 130 Type B Engine designed by Aurelio Lampredi (The registration of this particular car is a nod to Aurelio himself, and stays with the vehicle) of Ferrari fame, the vehicle displaced 3,235CC and offered 163bhp from factory.
This particular 1973 vehicle is an Italian home market car, originally based in the Treviso region of Northern Italy. Clearly enthusiast owned , it covered very little distance, took part in prestigious events like the Coppa Doro Delle Dolomiti and was registered as a historic vehicle with the Automotoclub Storico Italiano by the then owner in 2001 - The unique Automotoclub Storico Italiano brass plaque for this vehicle is still present and can be refitted.
Believed to be previously restored in Switzerland, it was eventually registered in the UK in 2019, it spent 2 years travelling Europe, with various receipts and invoices for work completed on its travels.
Exterior
The Navy Blu exterior presents extremely well, with all brightwork, trim and badging present and correct. Small age related marks, commensurate with an older restoration are present, but there is no corrosion to note and the car and overall it is fitting of the design and heritage of the vehicle.
Interior
The Orange velour interior is in exceptional condition, complimenting the external Navy colour well. The only signs of wear being to the badging in the centre console. All items work as expected, and the dashboard and and trim is all in age defying condition.
Mechanical
Mechanically, the car starts cold, idles and drives well - The automatic gearbox shifts as expected and it is a luxury GT in every way. The engine idles well and pulls strong, as expected.
