HONDA NSR250
Background:
It evolved from the popular NS250R MC11 and was produced over four distinct generations, each powered by liquid-cooled, reed-valve inducted 249cc 90° V-twin two-stroke engines. All engines incorporated the Honda RC-Valve power valve system and nikasil-sulphur lined cylinder bores (hence the 'NS' in 'NSR').
The road-going NSRs were built in the image of the Honda RS250R (also known as the NSR250) production race motorcycle series, although they shared no mechanical parts. This was in the style of competing manufacturers Yamaha and Aprilia.
The Bike:
This beautiful 1990 NSR250 was imported by Honda UK in 2012 and is accompanied by a Dating Certificate and frame/engine authenticity documentation from previous UK owners since then.
UK-registered with a V5C and a fresh MOT until 2026. The odometer currently shows just 21,500 kilometres (13,330 miles). It comes with the original screen, toolkit, pillion seat cover and a selection of spare parts.
Fitted with a dry clutch. Starts perfectly, runs and rides with no known faults. Documented evidence and invoices for an engine rebuild, including new gaskets, bearings and piston rings. Supplied with a host of paperwork including older MOTs. The paintwork is overall in good condition and the bike appears to be mainly original.
A cracking example in a rare livery, ready to ride.
