Background:
Mitsubishi introduced the Lancer Evolution IX in Japan on March 3, 2005, and exhibited the car at the Geneva Motor Show for the European market the same day. The North American markets saw the model exhibited at the New York International Auto Show the following month. The 2-litre (1,997cc) 4G63 inline-four engine has MIVEC technology (variable valve timing), and a revised turbocharger design boosting official power output at the crankshaft to 291PS (214kW; 287bhp) and torque to 392Nm (289lb/ft).
The Car:
The beautiful Amethyst Black One of only 1,396 manual gearbox wagons built and only available to the Japanese market, not sold in the UK officially. Imported to the UK in July 2020, this smart example has covered 57,700 miles (combination of kilometres in Japan and miles in UK).
Powered by the 4G63 Mivec Turbo with '276'bhp (much more) and 392Nm, 6-speed manual gearbox, Helical front LSD, Active Centre Differential (ACD) with rear RS LS. Totally standard example with no modifications, the ECU retaining its original JDM map. Can be retroactively made ULEZ-compliant with no hardware changes
Clutch, timing belt, wheel refurb & all new tyres done in the last 1,000 miles. Recent paint correction and ceramic coating. Generally in great condition inside, outside and importantly underneath.
