Ferrari California - Low ownership and miles

When it was introduced in 2008 the Ferrari California was a revelation. With a 4297cc Ferrari V8 upfront and a retractable hardtop, it was many firsts for Ferrari. But any doubts this was less of a red-blooded Ferrari of old were quickly dispelled on starting the engine and driving away.

The California is sleek in outline but although a less aggressive look the drive is anything but. It had a different engine to the contemporary F430, but despite nominally fewer horsepower, it could dispatch the 0-62mph benchmark more quickly, with a claimed sub 4 seconds going on to a top speed of 193mph. No turbochargers in sight, a naturally aspirated Ferrari V8.

An elegant car with an ease of driving and comfort that belies the dramatic bark of the engine; nothing beats the howl of the engine which you find yourself deliberately provoking with gratuitous flicks of the paddles.

Our car is a beautiful example. First registered in June 2009, the coachwork is finished in unmarked Rosso Scuderia red with a Crema interior. Unmarked wheels and a continuous service record with Maranello in Egham where it has been serviced on 9 occasions and only ever with this same authorised Ferrari main dealer. With 2 previous owners, it has had little use, having covered 15,900 miles to date. Two keys and all books and manuals including Ferrari Navtrak key.

Last serviced in February 2025 year the car wants for nothing and is ready to go, top down for the summer.
