MERCEDES-BENZ SLK
Background:
The R170 Mercedes SLK was the first generation compact roadster produced by Mercedes-Benz, from 1995 to 2004. It was designed from late 1991 under Bruno Sacco, with the final design completed in early 1993 and approved by the board. A German design patent was filed on 30 September 1993. The production SLK-Class was introduced at the Turin Motor Show on 22 April 1996, appearing as a modern incarnation of the 1950s Mercedes-Benz 190SL, by returning to four cylinders and with an identical 94" (2,400mm) wheelbase. A facelift was introduced to all models in 2000, featuring an updated design and updated engines.
The Car:
This 2004 model was one of the very last R170 models manufactured, with production ceasing at the end of that year.
Still looking good 21 years in, in its gorgeous Lazurite Blue and Sian Beige Leather, which makes a striking and still contemporary combination. Amazing, despite its 21 year age, the car has covered a mere 40,850 miles, which is astonishing and backed up by MOTs.
Well maintained over the years, with a thick wad of paperwork and invoices, along with every MOT certificate ever issued for the car.
Supplied ready to hit the summer lanes with a long MOT until the New Year.
