The Maserati MC12

It was primarily developed as a homologation vehicle for motorsport. Homologation is a process whereby a manufacturer produces a limited number of road cars that meet the technical and safety requirements needed to compete in certain racing series. In this case, the MC12 was developed specifically to compete in the FIA GT Championship. It was to be produced between 2004 and 2005 in a very limited number of only 50 units, 25 of which were intended for road use and 25 for racing. Due to the extreme interpretation of the regulations by the Maserati engineers, they had to shorten the front of the car minimally, which is why a further 25 road cars had to be built. In the end, 50 road cars were built, the first 25 of which had a slightly longer front end than the later 25 cars.

The Maserati MC12 is undoubtedly a car that makes the hearts of sports car enthusiasts all over the world beat faster. The vehicle offered here is number 41 of 50 and was first delivered by Maserati to its first owner in Hong Kong on 25 April 2005. The passionate collector kept the vehicle for almost two decades, during which time he kept all documents and invoices, resulting in a complete history. Starting with the new vehicle invoice, which was issued on 8 April 2005. A short time later, he registered the vehicle, whereby the licence plate, which was on the vehicle until it was imported to Germany, visualizes and confirms the history in various pictures. Despite the low mileage, he had the vehicle serviced regularly at Maserati in Hong Kong. The following service dates and mileages are taken from the corresponding invoices: on 23 January 2006 with 1,375 km, on 23 April 2008 with 1,609 km, on 10 February 2009 with 1,664 km, on 6 August 2010 with 1,860 km, on 16 May 2012 with 1,894 km, on 11 September 2014 with unknown mileage, on 17 May 2017 with unknown mileage, on 22 September 2018 with 1,902 km and on 17 July 2019 with 1,902 km. Between the last work on 7 January 2020 with 1,913 km and the sale three years later, there are 21 invoices for regular battery maintenance. The owner used the vehicle very rarely, but took part in a local motor show with the MC12 on 30 November 2017, of which transport invoices and pictures are available. The same applies to the maintenance carried out in 2019 with a visible licence plate.

On 10 May 2023, the car was finally sold to its second owner, who is a very good customer of our company. We took delivery of the Maserati on 12 August 2023 with a mileage of 1,914 km and registered it for road use in Germany on 10 October 2024. Apart from a photo shoot in 2025, however, the vehicle was not driven, which is why it is now being offered for sale with a traceable mileage of 1,960 km. In addition, the original on-board folder with all associated documents and a special MC12 book from Maserati are available.
