The 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 was the final Fiat-produced version of the iconic 124 Spider before Pininfarina took over in 1983. Designed by Tom Tjaarda, it featured a 2.0-litre inline-four engine, available in carburetted 102hp or fuel-injected 108hp versions. Paired with a five-speed manual transmission, it offered a lightweight, agile driving experience.

With independent front suspension and a solid rear axle, the Spider balanced comfort and handling. The interior featured bucket seats, a wood-trimmed dash, and optional luxuries like electric windows and air conditioning. Affordable compared to rivals like the Alfa Romeo Spider, it remains a beloved classic, valued for its Italian styling and engaging drive.

This lovely example has been well maintained by Tony since his purchase in 2016. As an import from the States, it features a 2.0-litre Twin-cam engine with fuel injection for added reliability and better economy.
