Longer, wider and lower than its predecessor with a new, more rounded body shape, the MR2's second generation (SW20) was a transformation

With its distinctive 'Ferrari-like' design, featuring sleek lines, pop-up headlights and aggressive styling cues, the SW20 turned heads wherever it went

Top of the range in 1990 (JDM only) was the GT Turbo T-Bar powered by a 218bhp turbocharged 2-litre, 3S-GTE four-cylinder with a 5-speed manual transmission

It also featured a removable Targa Top, 2-piston front callipers and leather/Alcantara trim
