The optional PDLS Porsche Dynamic Cornering Bi-Xenon headlights offer exceptional brightness, even in challenging conditions. The light beam pattern actually adjusts from side to side depending on speed and steering wheel movement to light up round a corner increasing your line of sight at night.

Background

The facelift version of the Porsche Cayman was introduced in February 2009. The Cayman S gained direct injection and a 25bhp increase to 320bhp, compared to the first generation version. The new engine does away with the Intermediate Shaft, which proved to be a weak link in pre-2009 engines, and has new cylinder coatings which are not prone to prematurely wearing or bore scoring. The front bumper was redesigned along with new front and rear lights, with the addition of daylight running lights in the front bumper.

Exterior

Our hand selected Cayman S looks stunning finished in Special Order Atlas Grey Metallic, a timeless Porsche colour, glistens in the sunshine with metallic flecks of blue, indigo & grey. The striking 19-inch Carrera Sport alloy wheels are finished in metallic silver with diamond cut edges and colour Porsche Crests. They are the perfect contrast to the Atlas Grey paintwork. The side vents are finished in Silver from the factory. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior

The Cayman S has the rarely optioned, yet striking, Ocean Blue Leather combined with Volcano Grey Headlining, which really lightens up and elevates the luxury feel of the interior. It comes with the rare and highly desirable 16-way Adaptive hardback sports seats with drivers seat/mirror memory and just like the rest of the interior, are in excellent condition and provide a perfect pairing to the Atlas Grey metallic bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim parts, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission

Our Cayman S is equipped with the 3.4 litre DFI flat six engine. The Cayman S engine produces 320bhp and 273ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 45:55 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss.

Another addition is the exceptional Remote Switchable Sports Exhaust PSE which significantly improves the sound of the Cayman S on any journey, without being too loud or intrusive in its quiet setting.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes

Our Cayman S comes fitted with the Factory Exclusive 19-inch Carrera Sport lightweight alloy wheels finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a Diamond Cut Edge. These wheels are highly sought after as they are the only Factory Option wheel that is 0.5 inches wider front/rear so they fill the wheel arches better. The brakes are phenomenal, with factory Guards Red callipers and PORSCHE lettering in white, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear with plenty of life left in them. The front brake discs/pads/sensors were recently replaced. The tyres are Bridgetone Potenza RE050A Porsche N-rated high performance tyres, with lots of tread remaining.
