2003 LOTUS ELISE

A special-edition variant of the Lotus Elise S2, No.6 /100 limited run developed by Lotus Sport and Performance in conjunction with the Lotus Ride and Handling team, which is offered with low mileage from new.

It is powered by a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated inline-four, producing 135hp thanks to factory modified cylinder head ports, a cast alloy intake manifold and a reprogrammed ECU, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

First registered in May 2003, this Elise has been with its current and fifth owner since August 2020. The odometer shows just 18,363 miles.

On the 135R, the Elise’s Bilstein dampers have been recalibrated, and a stiffer adjustable anti-roll bar has also been fitted.

The 135R rides on 16-inch O.Z. Racing lightweight cast alloy wheels, with the front wheel increased from 5.5 to 6.5-inches wide.

The model was available in two colours only, Silver Mica and Blue Mica.

Build number 6 of approximately 100, this example is finished in Silver Mica, and its black O.Z. Racing wheels are fitted with Yokohama Advan A048 tyres.

The 135R has a bespoke blue Alcantara and black carbon leather-trimmed interior, with ‘135R’ lettering on the seats.

The cabin is equipped with heating and ventilation controls, a fire extinguisher and a Pioneer stereo.

A rear panel eliminator kit and a lightweight QuickSilver exhaust have been installed. The original parts will be included, except for the exhaust.

The original owner’s manual, service book, purchase receipts and Lotus welcome letters will be included, along with its Certificate of Conformity, a collection of MOT documents, and receipts for servicing, as well as PPF and tracker installations.

One ignition key will be supplied.

Specific notes from the seller include: a paint blemish/bubble on the front, near the air intake; the paint protection film is aged and discoloured in parts; the rear section of the seat cushioning sponge has been replaced on both seats; very minor marks on the plastic dash which leads to the windscreen.

The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 10 October 2024 at 18,349 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories.
