Often referred to as the car that saved Porsche, the first generation Boxster (986) was introduced in late 1996 and was Porsche's first model designed purely as a roadster since the 550 Spyder of the 1950's. The early cars were powered by a 2.5ltr water cooled flat 6 cylinder engine mid mounted powering the rear wheels. The engine size was increased to 2.7ltr in 2000 and the more powerful 3.2 S was also introduced. Our low mileage car is a 2000 3.2S fitted with the 6 speed manual gearbox and finished in Ocean Blue (L3AZ) metallic paintwork with black leather trim. Just 35,000 miles have been covered in the car which benefits a fabulous history with the last service being carried out by us 100 miles ago. This car really does present itself beautifully. With newly refurbished 18" Sport Design split rim alloys with gold Porsche Crests and Guards Red callipers set off the outside while inside you are greeted by full soft ruffled leather seats finished in black with contrasted white speedo and clocks. The dashboard is trimmed in leather, the centre console and roll over hoops are finished in black showing next to no wear/marks. Black Porsche over-mats have protected the perfect black carpets. Climate control and windbreak enable comfortable high speed cruising. Still fitted is the lovely factory fitted Porsche CDR radio. The car comes complete with the original leather book pack with stamped up service book and spare key.
