PORSCHE 911 (996) CARRERA 4S 2005

Here is my Porsche 911 C4S - 2005 - the last of the 996s.

The classic combination of Arctic silver with black leather interior. 4WD, 18" turbo, AC, automatic rear spoiler, a good service history. Two keys. Current mileage is just 75k. I'm currently using the car as my daily drive, so mileage will increase slightly.

12 months MOT just on it - no advisories.

The important stuff:

Future-proofed with new IMS bearing and crank seal February 2022. (Receipt as proof and service book stamped accordingly).

The underside of the car is absolutely dry - with zero oil leaks.

Replaced AC condensers September 2022.

Water pump replaced January 2023.

Starter motor replaced May 2023.

New tyres all round.

New discs and pads all round January 2025.

The Carrera 4S transformed the 'good' Carrera into a truly great car. It added choice upgrades from the Turbo and a key styling cue from the previous 911 models - that red stripe across the rear. The Turbo wide body never looked so good!

The all-wheel drive system sends between five-to-forty percent of torque forward depending on traction and power applied, so it is mostly rear wheel drive. The standard solid-spoke aluminium alloy Turbo wheels suit the rest of the car down to a tee.

What I say about this car:

This is the fourth Porsche I've owned, and the second C4S. I absolutely love it. I know not everyone likes the headlight shape, but I think it's fantastic. The lights, the rear reflector, the wheels and the wide body all add up to (in my opinion) the best looking 911 out there. It stands out from the other models. And like many cars of this age - they look better than their 21st century equivalents.

Why this car?

The turbo wide-bodied rear complete with red light strip styling is timeless.

Prices for the best are rising dramatically as collectors are sourcing them.

A relatively understated sports car, you can park it anywhere.

Formidable safety net on the road with all wheel drive as standard.

The C4S is a practical all weather sports car.

Why am I selling?

A back injury means getting in and out of the car isn't great for me, and long drives have become uncomfortable.
