Porsche Cayman S - Chrono, PSE, 19" Lobster Claws

For sale is my 2008 Porsche Cayman S in Carrara White. 108,000 miles. Pulls and drives very well.

When I was looking for a Cayman I wanted something a bit different from the silver, black or blue that seemed to make up the bulk of cars of this age. I also wanted to make sure I had something with a decent factory spec, as we all know that Porsche likes to make everything an option. I also wanted a car with no major modifications. When this became available it ticked all those boxes:

No rear wiper.

Only non stock parts are H&R wheel spacers on front and back (approx. £200) and a Gundo style exhaust modification. Sounds great and stock PSE valves function as intended on the sports button which also increases the responsiveness of the throttle pedal.

Been great fun owning this and the only reason for the sale is I want something a bit different and maybe even slightly more practical. Car has been garaged in my ownership and since I don’t have to commute and tend to use public transport for most of my longer journeys, I’ve only covered 6000 miles.

Bodywork overall is great with only minor stone chips expected of car of this age. No scratches or dents. Interior is in great condition, with only very minimal wear on the drivers seat. Wheels have no curbing.

I took it open myself to address any potential issues that could arise as a bit of preventative maintenance, none of this was as a result of any problems, I have replaced:

MAF Sensor

Header Tank Seal

AOS Unit

All coil packs (improved version)

All six spark plugs

All post cat exhaust clamps and nuts/bolts replaced with stainless.

Previous to my ownership the car has had new pads and discs all round.

Work carried out my ownership:

Small coolant leak sorted.

All three engine mounts replaced.

All four tyres replaced with Continental SportContact 7 (£1000)

Front springs, bumps stops and all appropriate hardware replaced June 2024.

Full service including oil, oil filter, pollen filer and air filter December 2024.

Car comes with two keys, lots of history and invoices. Original leather wallet and manuals, documents etc as well original bill of sale.

Private plate included, came with the car when I bought it. Might be worth a few quid but I never got around to getting it back on an age related plate.
