36,000 Mile Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible

We are pleased to offer this original and lightly used Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible on behalf of an excellent GQ client.

The XJS was launched with much fanfare in 1975 as the long awaited replacement for the e-type... a very difficult act for Jaguar to follow. The XJS started out as a V12 coupe only, but evolved over the years with targa and convertible body styles, along with smaller 6 cylinder engines, creating options for buyers with different tastes and budgets. With over 115, 000 cars produced over a 21 year lifecycle the car was a huge success for Jaguar and today has an incredibly passionate and loyal following amongst enthusiasts.

The 1988 example we are pleased to offer is arguably the most desirable of all the XJS models, a V12 convertible. Lightly used having covered just 35, 744 in its 36 year history and with a lovely history file showing the care and attention that has been applied by its previous owners (2 in the last 22 years). Our example is unrestored, but wears its years lightly, with lovely Arctic Blue paint, gently patinated Nimbus Grey leather and a clean and fully functioning roof.

Purchased by our customer 3 years ago, he had always promised himself an XJS and fell in love with the history, the looks and the way the car drove, but has struggled to use the car regularly enough to justify keeping it. He is therefore reluctantly looking to find the next loving owner for his pride and joy.
