Having already produced the quirky fun Z1 in limited numbers in the late 1980s it was about time to be creative and fun again, so in 1998 the ZMwas launched as roadster and coupe.

It was immediately a great success with new cars fetching hefty premiums over list price and the Coupe was most enthusiast’s favourite with its amazing “bread van” looks and race-derived engine, sorted chassis making for an extremely entertaining drive, to say the least.
