Here at Quick and Big Ltd we are absolutely delighted to offer for sale our 6 speed manual Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (996), having recently come in to use from its enthusiast owner.

It’s the 996 sweet spot, a comprehensively maintained, low mileage, narrow bodied, 6 speed manual, non-sunroof, coupe, in a great colour combination.

The 996 was launched in 1997 (ours is a later 2000 car). As the first iteration of the Porsche 911 to be water cooled, following over 30 years of air cooled heritage, the 996 was lambasted by the purists at the time. However it was more powerful, lighter and in every measurable way, quicker than the 993 it replaced.

The 996 at launch was the very first Evo Magasine Car of the Year back in 1998, after about 20 years, the rest of the world is now starting to appreciate what Evo knew all along, it’s a cracking, useable, performance.

The 3.4 litre, flat 6 cylinder engine, from new developing 300hp / 350Nm. With rear engined grip, and being the lighter weight rear wheel drive Carrera 2, it could accelerate from 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds and go on to 174mph.

Porsche 996 values are on the up, the desirable, manual gearbox, coupes even more so.

Hagerty: So don’t dither. The 996 C2 boat is about the leave the harbor. The 996 C2 fits the description of Hagerty’s starter classic.

NUI 9114 (nice plate, comes with the car) was registered by Isaac Agnew, Porsche Centre, Belfast, Northern Island, on 2/10/2000, having covered a total of only 65116 miles (on average less than 3000 miles a year). It’s a UK spec car (C16) and was registered on this side of the Irish Sea on the 25/02/2003, its had only 3 former keepers since.

Crucially our 996’s maintenance history is just lovely, its accompanied by its original service book, with 12 stamps from Porsche Main Dealers and brand specialists. It is also accompanied by a big stack of receipts, totalling over £13k for routine maintenance. Its most recent service was completed at 63,007 miles (around 2k miles ago), and included oil / filter, fuel filter and brake fluid.

A cars paper work can tell you much about its previous owners enthusiasm for it. Our manual coupe is accompanied by every MOT, its history is also excellent, and backing up its low mileage as genuine. The most recent MOT was passed with no advisories and does not expire 22/7/25.

Our 911’s optional 18 inch SportTechno alloy wheels are in excellent condition and sport matching Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round. The front 225/40/18, and the rear 285/30/18’s with 8mm of tread all round.

Our modern classic 996 C2 is beautifully presented, and in our opinion in a great colour combination of Black Metallic (great to see one that is not Silver), complimented by again almost unmarked extended black leather interior with optional aluminium trim (great to see one that’s not Grey or Cinnamon).

Standard and optional equipment on the Carrera 2, includes: front and side air bags, ABS, interior storage, plus door oddment bins, electric windows and door mirror adjustment, parking lights, automatic retractable spoiler, climate control (nice and cold, just regassed including new condenser), steering wheel adjustment, remote central locking, onboard computer, and rear wiper.

Our Carrera 2, comes with owners manuals / wallet, spare wheel, jack and tool role, warning triangle and 2 remote keys.

Many 996’s of this era have had a numerous modifications over the years. Fortunately ours in beautifully original, except having the benefit of a replacement Pioneer hi fi with blue tooth connectivity (the original Becker unit and the CD storage draws come with the car), plus having the rear silencers changed for the popular Dansk upgrade, it sounds fabulous without being obtrusive on a long journey, a cold start video is on our You Tube channel, please search for "Quick and Big".

It will have an independent 90+ point pre delivery inspection, for the new owners benefit. It is of course HPI clear and a full HPI report will be available to potential purchasers.

Many thanks for wading through our lengthy description, we believe it’s better to describe our cars fully. It is not in our interest to waste your time or ours with inaccurate descriptions. It does of course have the odd age related imperfection (which used car doesn’t), but for its age it really is beautiful.
