Sold - 2002 – TVR GRIFFITH 500 SE No 46 of 100 – “ROYAL BURGUNDY”

This is one of the last Special Edition (SE) Griffith 500s - specifically No 46 of the last 100! But this one is rarer than all the others! This is the ONLY TVR to be painted in the Stunning Str8six Colour “Royal Burgundy”!!

This car was originally painted in Rosso Pearl but the very good finish was marred by a couple of stonechips and had faded over the car’s lifetime. An expert tried to match it but pronounced it to be “Mission Impossible” in this instance. So we decided to take the opportunity to create a truly stunning Griffith. The photos give an impression but it has to be seen in real life to be fully appreciated!!

The vehicle's cockpit is fully trimmed in Black with Crimson features. The Dashboard has a black upper surface (so no reflections in the screen), and this colour continues on to the centre console. The Instrument Panel is SE specification in finished in beautiful burr walnut. This is recessed in the original Crimson trimmed Reveal. The Instruments all have crimson faces with white numbers and feature aluminium surrounds. The black and crimson theme continues onto the doors with part straked inserts.

Lift the bonnet and you will find a very clean, (albeit not “garage Queen”), 5.0 litre engine. You will also note the reservoir for the Power Assisted steering and the fact that the chassis has been Dinitrol protected – since 2008. Needless to say, the complete chassis is in very good condition - as is every item of the car’s technical specification. The wheels are OE TVR SE 16” specification and are unmarked. They are fitted with Toyo tyres all round which are brand new in 2024. The car also benefits from the full ACT Sports exhaust system inc manifolds.

The camshaft and lifters were replaced by ourselves for the previous owner in 2023 just before selling the car to us.

The car has a full complement of stamped service cards in its Purple SE Handbook.

This unique TVR will be supplied with Str8six's renowned "All the 12s" handover specification - i.e. Full 12,000 miles service, 12 mths MOT and our renowned 12 mths/12,000 miles Full Wear and Tear warranty covering parts and labour on the whole car and 6 mths RFL. It does of course also have an inbuilt 12 volt Accumate trickle charger.
