With the move to more muscle, thanks to a Ford Sigma engine, the Seven 310 adds brute strength to the Seven’s armoury. Now with 152bhp on tap and more low-down torque, we head into more pumped-up territory, with a car just itching for the right driver to take control.

But this bruiser is equally at home as a cruiser. The easy power delivery from the 1.6 litre engine, makes this the benevolent heavyweight of Sevens. Welcoming and fun to its friends, devastating to its rivals.

This high specification Caterham 310S utilises a 1.6 litre Ford motor, producing 152bhp. In a featherweight car, this equates to a 4.9 second sprint to 60mph.
