Aston Martin D2/4

Stratton Motor Company are delighted to be able to offer this true classic Aston Martin, the DB2/4 which has undergone a meticulous full nut and bolt ground up restoration.

Originally supplied by Brooklands of Bond Street, London in 1954 and still bearing the original registration.

Also original spec is the Blue Haze Coach Work with contrasting mid blue hide interior with cream piping.

The DB2/4 was an improvement over the DB2 in that it provided, although somewhat restricted, seats in the rear and a high roofline to accommodate passengers along with what was thought to be one of the first hatchbacks seen on a production car.

Power is supplied through a W O Bentley 2.6 twin cam straight six engine tuned to 'Vantage' specification and producing 125bhp.

The restoration was completed in 2014 to a very high 'Concours' condition by professional classic vehicle restorers which included 'body off'. A full photographic record of the restoration and comprehensive history comes with this lovely little car which must hold a true place in the history of Aston Martin.
