2017 Ferrari 488 Spider 'Tailor Made'

The 488 GTB was a big change for Ferrari, not only because the 458 Italia and Speciale have been so successful but because it marks a change of philosophy for the company’s mid-engine supercar. Gone is the naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 and in its place is a downsized, direct-injection 3902cc twin-turbocharged flat-plane-crank V8. What they produced was an automotive masterpiece, a car that was more efficient but also massively more potent. What the engine lacks in character compared with the outgoing V8 it makes up for with outrageous performance and such drivability that, no matter the gear you find yourself in or the speed you’re travelling, at no point does the 488 GTB make you wait even a nanosecond when you decide to call on all 661bhp and as much as 560lb ft of torque. The chassis is sublime, melding unexpected levels of comfort with unflappable control and crystal-clear communication as the pace quickens and you start to build up to exploiting the phenomenal performance on offer.

The car we have on offer is a very special one. It was first registered in 2017 and was specified with a host of special ‘Tailor Made’ options on top of the usual Ferrari options, giving this car a striking look. It is presented in Bianco Lagos Opaco (matt pearl white) with Rubino Micalizzato Opaco with Grigio Brunito Opaco livery and is completely covered in protective clear ppf protection. The other ‘Tailor Made’ options include internal and external carbon fibre in glossy red, matt grigio alloy wheels, F12 TDF style seats with Kvadrat gloss fabric in inner part of seat panels and Apolo bright nero fabric in outer part of seat panels, seat lifter, kickplate in red carbon with ‘Tailor Made’ logo, dream lines in bianco olisa on side of F1 paddles, livery on upper and lower rim of steering wheel and cavallino stitched on headrest in special stitching. The usual options that were added include Apple car play, adaptive front lights, suspension lifter, sports exhaust system, Scuderia shields, front and rear camera system, 20” alloys, white rev counter, goldrake racing seats with carbon back, premium hifi system and a navtrak system.
