Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione 1 ‘MARTINI’ 6

After dominating the 1992 World Rally Championship, claiming their sixth consecutive manufacturers title, and to date final WRC title, Lancia again chose to celebrate by building a special limited-edition Delta HF Integrale Evo 1, this time the ‘Martini 6’.

When Group B was canned at the end of the 1986 season, Lancia needed a production-based alternative to turn to. The Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Italdesign penned Delta had been launched in 1979 and although briefly running as a narrow body car in the 1987 Championship- it won- it was the widened track, Integrale from 1988 that is remembered so favourably. The Delta would go on to take 6 Constructors’ Championships, 4 Driver’s Championships and 44 wins overall between 1987 and 1991.

After 6 consecutive victories of the constructor’s championship in 1992 Lancia produced a special edition of the Delta Integrale, this one being #189 of only 310 made. Built with the Martini Racing Team colours, decals and distinctive rear spoiler, Recaro front seats featuring the HF logo. 210BHP, 5 speed 4 FWD and all-round disc brakes.

Initially similar in appearance to the previous ‘Martini 5’, this car was also finished in white with a red and blue Martini stripe, but for the ‘Martin 6’ the stripe widens over the cars bulging wheel arches. Also new on the ‘Martini 6’ was the addition of three ‘World Rally Champion’ decals on both front doors and the front bumper, along with a large Lancia crest decal on the roof. The interior changes were also clear to see, a new steering wheel, with the popular high-back Recaro bucket seats, this time trimmed in a fabulous turquoise Alcantara, along with the door cards. The individual plaque confirming serial number is located on the centre tunnel just behind the gear lever, which in a ‘Martini 6’ is a ‘Quickshift’ unit with a carbon fibre surround.

We are very pleased to have for sale this most iconic car in the most fabulous condition and extremly low mileage with an incredible 2 owners from new and comes with Lancia Club Italia Certificate of Identification.

This Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione ‘Martini 6’ was supplied new by the Italian dealership Aurelia auto in dec 1992, before being imported to Austria in 2012 and remained with the same owner ever since before coming to the UK and registered with the DVLA on the 1st of March 2022.

This car would be a welcome addition to any car collection and a rare opportunity as these cars are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition and history.

This car is number 189 of 310 examples produced in the iconic Martini Livery and was delivered new on the 23rd of December 1992 and has only covered less than 23500km (14500 Miles)

Adding to the outstanding original condition are the accompanying items and documentation offered with the car, including the original Lancia tool kit, original warranty card and service booklet, owners and operation manuals in pouch, spare and master keys, and a comprehensive history file binder including the Certificate of Origin, Centro Storico FIAT documentation, copy of Automobile club d’OItalia registration card, Italian road inspection records and service invoice.
