Overview
We think it's fair to say that the Porsche Boxster has always been a bit of a benchmark when it comes to well-balanced, mid-engine two-seater sports cars. Consistently delivering and always geared towards the driving experience the Boxster has been a popular choice for many since its inception all the way back in '96 and it remains an incredibly capable car as we head into 2026, with the latest generation, breaking cover in 2016, representing the culmination of decades of development.
Eschewing the nomenclature of past models in favour of a nod to the company's motorsport successes at the historic Targa Florio, the newly designated 718 marked a bit of a change in direction for Porsche. Dropping two cylinders and replacing them with a turbocharger may have ruffled some feathers but the new 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-four in the entry-level model is still good for almost 300bhp and a 0-60mph time of 4.7seconds, which isn't slow by any stretch of the imagination and technically outperforms its predecessor.
Complete with all the latest tech and available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or Porsche's truly excellent seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic, the 718 Boxster remains a highly accomplished and eminently drive-able machine that is superbly built and ergonomically on point and this particular 2019 example is no different.
With a smidge over 9K miles on the clock the car has only just been run in and comes complete with service history and a long, advisory-free MOT. Not only that but due to such limited use this Boxster remains in superb shape throughout and presents in stunning condition across the board so if you're on the hunt for a beautifully balanced and modern mid-engined roadster that'll make you feel like Lewis Hamilton every time you get behind the wheel then look no further.

Summary
Fast, reliable and hugely rewarding to pilot the latest incarnation of the Boxster, and the last to feature a petrol-powered engine before the switch to all-electric next year, remains an incredibly handsome and driver-focussed two-seater sports car that is guaranteed to put a smile on the face. This barely used and well-maintained 2019 example is an excellent representation of the marque and comes to market in superb condition throughout, making it a top choice for fans not just of the Boxster, but of class-leading open-top sports cars in general.
