Overview

Back in the 2000s Porsche was beginning to do things a little differently and alongside the Cayenne, the Panamera was proof that the German giant was further expanding its line-up. Historically renowned for rear-engined, lightweight sports cars like the 911 the full-size, front-engined luxury hatchback Panamera was a bit of a change in tack for Porsche when it arrived in 2009 but it was quite the machine.

Handsomely, if subtly styled, those original models were powered by a choice of V6 and V8 engines (as well as hybrid options) that were naturally aspirated or came with forced induction. Performance was never brought into question and the car remains a properly good GT car that's fantastic to drive, is incredibly well built and comes complete with all of the bells and whistles one could possibly ask for.

Still going strong and on to its third generation, the intervening second iteration arrived in 2016 and was a touch larger than the outgoing first gen model. With a redesigned rear and dash layout the new Panamera came with a whole host of new engines, including the really rather capable 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid producing 456bhp as found in this particular 2020 Panamera 10 Years Edition.

Built to commemorate the Panamera's tenth birthday the 10 Years Edition was a limited run that features a number of enhancements and design highlights as standard including LED matrix headlights with PDLS Plus, lane and parking assist with reversing camera, panoramic roof system, privacy glass, heated 14-way comfort seats, BOSE Surround Sound system and 21” Sport Design wheels in satin-gloss White Gold Metallic, among other improvements.

Porsche's adaptive three-chamber air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Power Steering Plus comes as standard and the hybrid models, such as this one, comes with an on-board charger with a charging capacity of 7.2 kW instead of the otherwise standard 3.6 kW.
