The Porsche 911 is a truly everyday sports car, offering impressive performance and driver engagement but with plenty of comfort and convenience, including a couple of seats in the back that can accommodate smaller people. This makes it suitable as an engaging daily driver, whether you’re a city worker that likes to travel in style, or a rural dweller with a number of flowing B-roads on your daily commute, or trip to school.

For many people, the 997 is the sweet spot of the 911 versions, combining relative affordability with a level of modernity. The 997.2 has the added benefit of a version of the flat six that includes uprated IMS bearings and a much lower risk of bore-scoring.

This particular 997.2 is a 2010-registered example, finished in the classic shade of Meteor Grey over a grey leather interior. Benefitting from a full OPC/specialist service history and having been freshly serviced by the current owner in October 2025, along with receiving a full set of new Michelin tyres in June 2025, this 911 appears to want for nothing. Plus, if you are going all in on the argument that the 911 can be a daily driver, it comes with a genuine Porsche child seat.

• We note some indentations to the nearside rear seat back, presumably from the aforementioned child seat

• The high-traffic areas such as the shifter, steering wheel, paddles and door pulls look to be in great shape, with only a few very small marks noted when inspected up-close

• Being very particular, the lower door trim areas are scuffed, but this is typical for a car of this age

• No reported faults or issues

Exterior

• Timeless 997.2 bodywork and Meteor Grey paint in fine fettle throughout

• Looking closely, there are a few stone chips to the front end and a small mark near the nearside door handle

• There appears to be a very small pin dent on the offside front wheel arch

• All four of the alloy wheels look be in excellent condition, with only a small graze noted to the nearside rear wheel edge

• Rear window wiper

• All four of the Michelin tyres were fitted in June 2025, and have covered very limited mileage since fitting with the seller stating they’re in ‘as new’ condition

• The seller tells us that the underside is in great shape with no signs of any corrosion or leaks

• Overall, a very smart example of the timeless facelifted 997-era 911

Mechanical

• 3.6-litre naturally aspirated DFI flat-six engine, producing 345bhp and 288lb-ft of torque

• Lightning-fast seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, sending power to the rear wheels

• No modifications from Porsche’s factory specification

• PSE switchable sports exhaust 

• The seller notes that the exhaust manifold gaskets were replaced, and the associated bolts were replaced with stainless-steel items during the previous owner’s time with the car

• The high-pressure fuel pump was replaced during the October 2025 service

• Reported to be in excellent mechanical health, and the seller states that there are no known mechanical issues or areas that require attention

Summary

Few cars can hold a candle to the 911 as the perfect everyday sports car, and this Meteor Grey 997.2 is no exception.
