Overview

As capable of taking the family to the French riviera as it is carving up the Stelvio pass, the sharpened ‘Sport’ edition of the Maserati GranCabrio was unveiled in 2011 to widespread praise from journalists and owners alike.

Benefitting from an additional 10bhp, revised suspension and braking setups, updated gearbox software and a sharpened throttle response, the Sport takes the already capable GranCabrio and takes it up a gear, blending incredible performance with cruise missile-like long-distance capabilities; this really is the Maserati that can do it all. Oh, and the roof comes off, making it ideal for drives along the French Riviera, through the Italian Alps, or perhaps just a slow drive around London on a summer evening.

First registered in 2016, this white-over-black example has been in the care of the current owner for around 4 years, during which time it has ‘never failed to put a smile on their face’ and remains in outstanding condition, thanks to its low mileage and careful ownership over the years.

• Scratches to high-traffic areas such as the window switch trims, door pulls, and drive mode select switches

• In the rear, there are some small indentations to the leather centre console

• Up above, the inner lining of the triple-layer fabric roof is free of any damage or staining

• Luggage compartment in the rear is tidy and clean

Exterior

• Widely praised by the automotive press as being one of the best-looking cabriolets of the 2010s

• Maserati’s Skyhook adaptive suspension system, tweaked specifically for the Sport edition of the Grancabrio

• Under the bonnet, there is little to see, but everything that is visible looks to be in good shape

• We note some staining to the sound-deadening at the leading edge of the bonnet

• No known modifications or alterations from the factory specification

• Reported to be in outstanding health, with one of the world’s greatest exhaust notes coming on full song when in ‘sport’ mode
