Overview
This very special Porsche is a 991.1 Carrera GTS – the last of the normally aspirated flagship models, with 430 bhp and the added desirability of three pedals. And if that’s not enough, it’s also an individual specification in factory-order Mahogany paint, with matching Espresso brown leather – a unique yet stunning combination. With all of the options, this car would have easily set its first owner back by a six-figure sum.
And on top of all that, it’s barely used. The car has covered a smidgen over 6,000 miles from new and is almost as spotless as when it left the factory. A true collectors’ quality car that’s about as good as an early 991 can get.
The model was the successor to the 997 GTS and came toward the end of 991.1 production, making its debut in 2014. It was just as special as its predecessor, with a wider body, standard Powerkit and a host of cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. It was replaced in 2016 by the turbocharged 991.2 GTS – a wonderful car, but one that doesn’t redline at 8,000rpm like this one. This car’s naturally-aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six sounds like nothing else on earth, especially when you can hold it there all the way thanks to the manual transmission.
The spec of this one marks it out as a very special car indeed. In fact, the options list that comes with it is so huge we’d blow up the internet if we listed it in its entirety. But highlights include lux pack ‘Chocolate’ leather, yellow dials and seatbelts, Sport Chrono +, Alcantara headlining and door trims, an Alcantara soft-feel steering wheel with platinum trim, 20-inch Turbo S alloys, 20mm lower PASM sport suspension and an extended leather interior option with the Carrera GTS logo embossed into the central arm rest.
It's an absolutely phenomenal car, which has had two owners from new, the first covering just 2,880 miles up to 2021, and the second owner doing the rest. He tells us that he adores the car and has loved owning it, but is now looking for something slightly older.
This 911 is one of the absolute finest. You’d struggle to find another GTS quite like it.
