Overview

Released as a special edition for the fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 to celebrate Mazda’s motorsport heritage, the ‘Icon Edition’ was limited to just 600 units. Using the 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G engine, it produces 129bhp and offers the same lightweight, engaging driving experience that we have all come to love across the different MX-5 roadster models.

The Icon stands out with exclusive styling features. It was available in either Meteor Grey Mica or Crystal White Pearlescent paint, accented by a striking Soul Red lower spoiler, mirror caps, and a subtle boot spoiler. It also comes equipped with unique 16-inch Gunmetal alloy wheels and special badging, adding to its distinct appeal. Inside, the MX-5 Icon retains the standard car’s driver-focused cockpit, featuring supportive heated leather seats and Mazda’s MZD-Connect entertainment system with satellite navigation.

This stunning example was purchased new by the vendor. It has covered an incredibly low 5,323 miles, has been garaged from new and the owner tells us that he’s never taken it out in the rain which, given the condition of the underside, is easy to believe. The reluctant sale comes from the enthusiastic owner purely due to lack of use and finding it more challenging to get in and out.
