Overview
We all know the Mazda MX-5 is one of the most affordable and popular two-seater sports cars on the market - and has been for many years. In fact, believe it or not, it’s been on sale for over 35 years in total.
Back in 2014, it seemed remarkable that the MX-5 had made it to a quarter-century edition and the 25th-anniversary model was introduced to honour the MX-5's rich heritage. The limited edition model was a run-out, last-of-the-line NC3.75 special and although mechanically unchanged from the 2.0-litre Sport Tech Nav, this was no hardship as the naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four-pot sends 160hp to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential via a delightful six-speed manual gearbox.
The 25th Anniversary MX-5 was available in a single colour choice: the stunning Soul Red Metallic. This is complemented by gloss black door mirrors and a gloss black electric retractable hard top, offering the best of both worlds for enjoying the MX-5 in varying weather conditions. A new rear diffuser and a numbered badge on the front wing rounded out the changes.
This is an excellent opportunity to become the second proud owner of one of just 750 cars released in the UK market. This super low-mileage 25th-anniversary MX-5 comes with a fantastic history, both keys, the original gift pack to commemorate the special edition model, and a unique letter numbered 856 to match the car's number.

Summary
There are many reasons to own an MX-5. Not only are they fantastic driver’s cars with excellent handling capabilities and great performance, but they also have a huge following, making them an excellent car for those who enjoy socialising with other like-minded petrolheads. Added to that, this two-seater sports car is surprisingly practical; with a decent-sized boot and an electric-powered roof, it is great for everyday use, come rain or shine.
This particular car ups the desirability by being the very limited 25th-anniversary model 856/1,000. With just over 20,000 miles and in excellent condition, it has much to recommend it.
