Overview

There’s nothing quite like a fast estate car to pique the interest of PistonHeads users. Cue the approving nods and knowing mutterings of the gathered masses who will see you purchase and know that you appreciate the ability to move medium-sized pieces of furniture at considerable speed.

Yes, there are even more practical ways of doing this, but they’re mostly actual vans so they don’t count. And — crucially — they don’t have a four-cylinder boxer engine. Or a twin-scroll turbocharger. Or a bonnet scoop. Mostly.

This Legacy started its life in Japan, where it remained until 2019. It was imported to the UK and has remained here ever since, having spent the past four years with the current owner. In that time it has received a decent amount of servicing work, including an uprated clutch in 2023, and suspension work in Nov 2024.

So if you’re looking for an amusing way to be very practical, then this Legacy will suit you very well. Especially if you have a penchant for driving down muddy lanes or going out in the snow. And even in temperate conditions, the power and delivery will add a good helping of fun to any journey.
