Overview

With production running from 2004 until 2012, the 997 sold enormously well thanks to its top-tier pedigree, reassuringly familiar styling, and impressive range of models and options. It was unmistakably a true 911 but brought this venerable model right up to date with a new range of engines. And the car on sale here benefits from having the larger of the two contemporary options: a water-cooled, 3.8-litre, flat six.

The vendor tells us that the car was put into storage in 2016, and stayed there until it was recommissioned 2023, which explains the car’s low mileage and gap in the service history. Prior to this it was serviced regularly — every two years — and it remains in fine fettle throughout.

With its red leather interior proudly displaying the car’s low mileage, this is a car which feels far younger than its years. The upholstery is superb throughout, and it would be a very pleasant place to be whether on a long journey or throwing it into a hairpin bend.
